Amal Tamim joins Arencon, September 2010
ARENCON INC. is pleased to announce the addition of Amal Tamim, M.Sc. FPE, B.Sc. FP&SET to our team.
Amal has over 17 years experience working in the fire protection field in Canada, the USA and the Arabian Gulf countries. Her experience spans all aspects of fire protection including: building and fire code development, code consulting, passive fire protection materials testing and specifications, certification of fire protection products and educational training.
Amal holds engineering degrees including Master of Science Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA and B.Sc. Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University, USA.
Amal is returning to Canada from Oman where she spent the last several years as the Fire Protection Engineering Manager of a consulting team on the new Muscat Airport and Salalah Airport developments. During her time in Oman, she worked closely with the fire authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait and Bahrain, in addition to providing consulting services to a variety of clients and major projects.
She has provided code consulting reviews for a variety of high profile projects in Canada, the United States and the Persian Gulf regions including an opera house, national museum, luxury multi-story residential developments, libraries, airports, factories and manufacturing plants.
Ms. Tamim has delivered numerous technical presentations and lectures and has spoken at the House of Commons in the United Kingdom on Fire Protection Engineering.
